Overview

The active antenna is a vertically polarized active receiving monopol antenna for MF, HF and lower VHF. As the atmospheric noise increases drastically to lower frequencies, the senisitivity of a proper matched antenna should just reach the noise level. Despite of its small size it provides excellent receiving results through an optimized combination of passive antenna structure and active circuitry. In this frequency range occur very strong signals besides small signals, so the high dynamic range and excellent large-signal characteristics of the antenna are needed. High immunity against nearby lightning strikes is given through intregrated lightning protection.
