The FRM220-2000MS is a versatile IEEE 802.3ah OAM-compliant copper-to-fiber Gigabit Ethernet converter, designed to seamlessly transition between 10/100/1000Base-T and 100/1000Base-X with SFP modules. It features a 1-port 10/100/1000Base-T to 100/1000Base-X SFP converter with Auto-Cross over for MDI/MDIX, Auto-Negotiation or manual mode, and supports flow control and Jumbo Frames up to 16K packets. The device offers bandwidth control, VLAN tagging, limited Q-in-Q support, and SFP DDMI, making it highly flexible for network configurations. For management, it includes SNMP, Web-based management, and in-band IEEE 802.3ah OAM support, allowing administrators to monitor, configure, and control the system. Additionally, it offers advanced features such as firmware upgrades via web, RMON counters, a USB console port, Telnet, and remote power failure detection (Dying Gasp). It also supports Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT), Auto Laser Shutdown (ALS), and D/D functions for SFP fiber transceivers. When used as a standalone unit, the FRM220-2000MS provides a user-friendly Web Smart interface for easy setup and management.
