The FRM220-10/100AS-2 is an IEEE 802.3ah OAM-compliant managed switch card designed to convert 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX with SFP, offering a reliable two-copper-to-two-fiber Fast Ethernet solution. With stand-alone SNMP and web-based management capabilities, it allows network administrators to easily monitor, configure, and control the activity of each card and remotely connected OAM-compliant converter. This converter supports a range of advanced features, including local and remote IEEE 802.3ah OAM/IP in-band management, auto-negotiation or forced mode, VLAN tagging, Q-in-Q double tagging, and Quality of Service (QoS) configurations. It is also equipped with advanced diagnostic tools like OAM remote loopback, link fault pass-through, and far-end fault indication. The device further supports bandwidth control, auto laser shutdown, remote CPE power fail detection (dying gasp), and online local/remote firmware upgrades. With robust performance features such as flow control, Spanning Tree, and SNMP trap alerts, the FRM220-10/100AS-2 ensures reliable network operation and seamless integration into managed environments.
