The FRM220-OAB21A is a high-performance, single-channel optical amplifier designed for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications. This Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) module delivers exceptional low-noise amplification, providing high input and output power with medium optical gain, making it ideal for reach extension. It features Automatic Gain Control (AGC) for consistent performance, which can be managed through rack management or an RS-232 console interface. The module also incorporates fast-transient suppression to maintain a stable output power despite rapid fluctuations in input power. With a maximum output power of 21 dBm and gain flattening filters (GFF) ensuring less than 0.75 dB variance across the C-band, the FRM220-OAB21A guarantees flat and reliable amplification.
