The FRM220-4G-3S is a high-performance 2R (Re-amplification and Re-shaping) optical regeneration device that supports data rates from 28Mbps to 4.25Gbps. Equipped with SFP optics on both the client and line sides, it converts data signals for specific wavelength transmission, ensuring optimal signal integrity over long distances. The device features 1+1 optical line protection switching with a fast recovery time of less than 50ms, Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT), and Auto Laser Shutdown (ALS) for enhanced reliability.

It supports Web, Telnet, and SNMP management for easy monitoring, and provides local configuration through a DB9 console port. The FRM220-4G-3S also includes digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) for real-time performance tracking and supports facility loopback for troubleshooting. With its ability to detect transceiver alarms and perform essential optical functions, this device is ideal for ensuring reliable, high-speed fiber-optic networks.
