The MICROTEST 8761NAC is a versatile testing instrument designed for comprehensive cable and connector testing, particularly for USB Type-C. It utilizes a four-wire measurement technique to ensure precise testing of conductance from 1mΩ to 52Ω, with support for testing up to 64 or 128 test pins. This unit is equipped for a range of essential tests, including E-Marker IC testing, Voltage Drop Test (5A), Open/Short circuit detection, Continuity Test, and both AC/DC Hipot tests. It also supports DC insulation testing and automatic wire or connector polarity identification (normal or reverse). Additionally, the system includes a barcode scanning and printing function for enhanced efficiency. For USB Type-C cables and connectors, the MICROTEST 8761NAC features automatic loop orientation detection and offers high-voltage testing capabilities, with a maximum AC withstand voltage of 700V and a DC withstand voltage of 1000V. By pairing with the FX-000C28 2-in-1 current source expansion box, the unit is capable of performing 5A voltage drop, internal resistance testing, as well as VDO code reading for E-Marker ICs, and a range of safety and performance tests.
