The 5kW APU PN 502-9900 Auxiliary Power Unit is a compact and rugged power solution designed for military vehicles, trucks, and genset applications. It features a Hatz 1B50 air-cooled, 8 kW diesel engine coupled with a compact permanent magnet generator directly mounted on the flywheel. Delivering up to 5 kW of electrical power at 28 VDC, the unit provides reliable power with low fuel consumption.

Built to withstand harsh environments, the APU meets MIL-STD-810F (sand & dust) and MIL-STD-461E (EMC) standards. Integrated CANBus 2.0 control allows precise management and monitoring, while multiple safety protections ensure secure operation, including reverse polarity, overcurrent, overvoltage, overtemperature, low oil pressure, and emergency kill switch. Its compact aluminum enclosure and lightweight design make it easy to integrate into existing vehicle or genset configurations.
